the lion who shot back |
Indiscriminate babbling by a ginger with too many hands on his time and not enough time on his hands. Still formulating what types of filth flarn filth I'll be plaguing this corner of the internets with. Stay tuned, cheers. |
ok not really but we are done with the northern leg of the tour which is a beautiful thing, it feels like progress. I’m not gonna lie, its weird up north, not in a bad way but not in a good way either. What I find interesting is the south is always portrayed as backward and behind on the times and blah blah blah, but some of the laws in the north make no sense. You cant buy beer in a gas station?! places close mad early, you cant buy beer in grocery stores?!! Ok well I guess alot of it revolves around alcohol laws but still.
Played Blacksburg, VA, home of the hokies (what kind of mascot is that?) and we had a blast, crowd did too. I thought I danced like a white boy, oh man these guys put me to shame. Quite angry I didn’t get a picture for yous guys but just take my word for it, ridiculous dancing (someone did a backflip, now thats rock n roll!). One of the more enthusiastic girls came up after the first set and started talking to Robbie. The conversation goes as follows:
girl: “Hi! my name’s milly!”
me: “thats my dogs name!!”
awkward silence ensues.
I go back to my beer.
But in all seriousness VT was great to us and I look forward to going back and getting down with those crazy ass white kids. I have high hopes for the southern shows, college kids are returning, schools starting, let the games begin.
